Are you able to play your DVDs in Windows Media Player? Windows Media Player
and M²Convert use similar video acquisition's technologies. Knowing the
behavior of Windows Media Player with this file will help me to pinpoint the
cause of the problem. You can perform this test by first opening Windows Media
Player and selecting "File" and then "Open". From here you can navigate to
your DVD drive and open the "Video_TS" folder on the DVD. From here you can
select the file titled "VIDEO_TS.IFO". Please let me know how this works. This
will tell me if the problem lies with M2Convert or your DirectX environment (A
part of your Windows Operating System).

Second, what DVD viewing software do you have installed on your machine?
M²Convert uses your DVD viewing utility to acquire the video before converting
the file. Sometimes there can be incompatibility issues between your DVD
viewing utility and M²Convert. Please let me know.

Last, I'd like to know what version of the software you are using. Can you
right-click on the title bar at the top of the application and click the
option titled "About M²Convert...". A window should pop up and there should be
a version number and a build number at the top of this window\; could you tell
me what this number is?

I have experienced the same problem with my Windows XP. I followed the steps in your e-mail with the following results.

Using Windows Media Player and opening the DVD as you stated, it would not play. It loops between the movie title and "Title 22". However it plays fine using the normal process to play a DVD.

As best I can tell, I think my computer uses Dell CinePlayer for viewing DVD's.

My M2 Convert for Zen is v1.1 (build 018). I hope you have a solution. I converted 64 of my DVD's before it stopped working.

Thanks.

M2convert and Windows Media Player use the same decoding technologies, meaning that in order to be able to convert a movie using our software you must be able to play the video using WMP.

Please note that we do not endorse any product made by other companies, and we strongly recommend that you try any DVD decoding software to see if it solves the problem before you buy it. If you were able to fix Windows Media Player and still fail to convert using M2convert please let me know and we can work on this.
