If the converted file that is created by M²Convert for ZEN plays fine (not freeze) on Windows Media Player (WMP), then you should be able to play it fine on your ZEN as well.

However, we did face a similar problem with a few other customers, but the video created by M²Convert froze too when played on WMP. This behavior happened when trying to convert long movies, and it seems to happen when the screen saver starts. Disabling the screen saver when converting with M²Convert seems to solve their problem.

I recommend you try this too on your computer (disabling screen saver while converting) and see if it solves your problem.

I have 2 movies (2h10 in .AVI and 1h40 in .dvr-ms) that freeze after conversion on my Zen Vision M:.

One freezes after 1h46 other at 0h47. converted files both play well in WMP.

I converted to AVI, high-Q, 640x480.
I don't use a screensaver (permanently disabled). So, length, type and screensaver do not seem to be an issue.

Please advise?? Tia, hans

If the file plays fine on WMP (does not freeze) then this means that the conversion is successful, and probably there is an issue with the ZEN player itself.

i don't think this is an appropriate answer. if i reconvert the movie the problem reproduces on some other spot. i still think its your software, probably in combination with the length of the file. it never occurs with movies shorter than 1 hour. please advise

To know for sure, try to play a really long movie from any source other than our M²Convert. Does it play all the way to the end on your device?

I am having the same issue.  Unfortunately, using another converter without having to purchase it only uses the first 10-15 minutes of the video, which is not nearly long enough to test this theory.

Hello Tiberia,

Could you tell me what version of M2Convert you're running?

This issue dates back quite a while. If you're using v2.0, I would recommend testing this out on v3.0 to see if this problem is still active in our latest version as well.
