Video and sound out of synch at 320x240
|

I'm using a trial version of M2Convert with my Cingular 3125. Everything works great with a WMV conversion at 220x130, but at 320x240 the video gets jerky and the sound leads the video by about a second. The 320x240 plays fine on my PC. The Cingular 3125 has a 320x240 screen, so I would think it would support this resolution.

Hello,
Since the 320x240 file plays fine on your PC, it is very unlikely that
the problem is from M2Convert. If the problem were in the
generated file itself, then it would show on your PC as well. If
it is possible for you to try the file on other types of phones, that
would help verify whether this is true or not. I also
suggest that you contact the vendors of the Cingular 3125 and ask them
why this file is not playing properly on their device although it plays
fine on your PC.

I have the same problem wiht my Sony Ericsson 580i which also has a 320x240 screen. It also plays fine on my computer. One question I had though... is there a difference between mpeg4 and mp4? I know on the converter it has mpeg4, whereas my phone lists mp4. Please let me know if someone knows how to fix this problem.

As Bashar described, since the file plays correctly on your machine then the conversion process worked successfully and the problem is probably related to your phone. Regarding the difference between MP4 and MPEG4, There is no difference it's the same file format. The official filename extension for MPEG-4 Part 14 files is .mp4. In our converter if you choose to reproduce a file with MPEG4 the file will have an MP4 extension.
