Angry [:@] DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER: LEAD FLV DeMultiplexer?!
Reply Quote
For at least a month now, I've dealt with issues playing flv files as I would get a message about 'LEAD technologies' and only audio would play with a black screen. After severe frustration as to what was causing it, I tried VLC and found no issues with playing this type of file. Once that happened, I went on a quest to find the file or program that would be causing this issue.

After speaking to the helpful people that make "K-Lite Mega Codec Pack" I found a utility that allowed me to gather information on all codecs on my machine. I found a file called "LMFLVDMx.dll" which is apparently a LEAD technologies FLV demultiplexer. Once I removed that file, all FLV playing issues went away. This btw, was with both Vista as well as XP, using one registered copy as well as a trial copy.

After I uninstalled the trial copy at least, I noticed this file actually couldn't be found by your uninstaller, meaning it is actually PART of your program?!

I would like to know WHY this error was received with all FLV files when playing them, and oddly, why nobody else has complained.

I've had numerous issues with your software and have already gone to another software that works much better. I feel your "NO REFUNDS" policy is crap, but compared to what I've gone through over the past month it actually makes sense as that's probably the only way your company can hold on to money.

Hello,

LEAD Technologies is the parent company of M² Solutions, Inc.

Our M²Convert line of products uses and installs some of LEAD multimedia filters and codecs. That's why uninstalling M²Convert also removes the LEAD stuff.

If you are facing a compatibility problem between a LEAD/M² component and any third party software, we will gladly investigate this issue further. You mentioned in your other forum discussion that you're using the Zune converter. Do you have the latest version? To verify that, when you run the M2convert application, click on the application icon (see the attached screenshot) and select "About M2Convert..." from the popup menu.

To be sure, you can download the latest version by visiting the Zune converter page on our site and downloading it from there. After doing that, run the setup and choose the Repair option.

If you face any problems with downloading or installing the latest setup, please send your M²Convert product serial number to support@m2solutionsinc.com.

Thanks,
Maen Badwan
